Managed the day to day operation of the Bruyère network which was a mix of Novell NetWare/OES and Windows Servers. Prepared written plans for the upgrade of systems, and produce proposals for changes to the network environment to enhance performance and stability. Assisted with the backup of the network environment, and provide guidance on security issues within the network environment. Participated in project teams and meetings to ensure proper communications of changes are made to all employees.

As part of the Integra team worked at various client sites throughout the Ottawa area on both Novell and Microsoft networks helping to implement new technologies and services for our customers. Provided troubleshooting services for various technologies. Assisted in the planning and documentation of the scope of work. Prepared reports on the results of upgrades and new installs.

I joined the Coast Guard when I was accepted into the college and commenced a three year program to learn marine engineering and ship operations. I graduated with a 4th class combined motor and Steam certificate. I was assigned to the fleet where I worked as a watch keeping engineer. Throughout the years I wrote additional certificates, progressing from 4th class to a 1st class marine engineering certificate. I also progressed in my career going from junior engineer up to chief engineer of the ship.

Degree: 4th Class Marine engineering Certificate (steam and motor combined).
